Beautiful eye-catching hand-made art!
I spent a long time going back and forth between the United rustic beige, the Marrione zipper dance boots in distressed fuschia, and the mango chocolate. I am so glad I chose the Marrione in mango chocolate ( I will confess that I also bought the United rustic beige because they are so beautiful and I could not pass up the additional discount on top of the sale price.) I was a little worried that the mango leather would look too "orange" like the picture, but it does not look orange at all. It is a rich brown with the mildest orange tinge which contrasts well with the chocolate leather. The leather is soft and smells wonderful. Another reviewer had mentioned the inlaid leather being "paper thin"; I completely disagree. It is an adequate amount of thickness, and the areas that look slightly distressed give the leather a lot of character. The left zipper occasionally catches on the leather overlay, but it is not an issue if the overlay is carefully moved out of the way. The stitching is absolutely exquisite and eye-catching; This is what first drew my attention to these boots. They are so different from every other western boot out there. The picture makes the stitching look brighter than it actually is, but I think the toned down colors make the boots more versatile and not too "loud", which I was initially concerned about when I ordered them. Not concerned anymore! The array of colors are amazing!!! There were a few stray stitches which were easily snipped off with small cosmetic scissors. I'm actually surprised that there are not more people ordering these boots because they are absolutely stunning and unique! I like the fact that I could not find them anywhere else but Rivertrail. This means that I'll likely not run into anyone else who has these boots. At 25% off they are still spendy, but well worth the price. I typically wear 7.5 , but I sized down to 7 which still fits a Dr. Scholls gel insole (and thin socks) that makes the footbed so much more comfortable. Not too many people wear cowboy boots in the suburbs, but I don't care. These will definitely make a statement when I wear them. I am now an Old Gringo and Rivertrail Mercantile fan. Thanks Clint, for being so friendly and helpful!
