LOVE these boots!
I love these boots! I normally wear a size 7.5 in other cowboy boots; however, I was afraid my calves wouldn't fit and ordered an 8. Well, they were too large and I had to get the 7.5 so i'd say they run true to size. I own Dan Post boots and would say the shaft width and shoe size are comparable, if that helps! The one difference I noticed is that the ankle area seems a bit narrower which makes getting the boots on and off a little more difficult so I've ordered a boot remover cause I can't always expect someone to help! The boot is comfortable and I love the way it looks and have gotten compliments already. You will definitely enjoy these and they can be worn with a lot of outfits.
sizing
I have this boot in brown in a size 8. They have more room. I also 2 other pairs of old gringos, 1 in size 8 & 1 in size 8 1/2. They all are a better fit. Quality control in sizing would be good. That said, I'm trying to stretch them as I only need a bit more room, shaft included. I'm afraid if I size up they will be to long. Thought the 8 1/2 would be a perfect fit.
Love these boots
I purchased these boots because of the style. I love them Worth the money and will never go out of style. The only thing I can tell you if you have muscular calfs in your legs they will be tight. I barley fit in them even with jeans tucked in them. I don't have legs like the girl in the picture. I work out. I am hoping they will stretch out more. The first time buying this brand. I usually buy Corrals. But I love this brand also. I will buy again.

If only these Erin black boots had a snip toe instead of the sharp pointed toe. A beautiful boot with gorgeous, impeccable black and gray embroidery that is subtle and elegant. But the sharp toe imparts a dressier look to this boot than I prefer, and I find myself wishing for a snip toe - then it would be perfect! Mostly likely, I'll return or exchange them for another fabulous pair of OGs.
Did not Dissapoint!
These are the same quaity & craftsmanship I've grown to expect with OG's! Having several pair I've become spoiled to the unique styles & color combos! These follow suit with the others! The color on this boot is not as bold, so if you are looking for something a little more tame, something that doesn't just jump out at you, this boot is for you! The pics are accurate and show the boot well. Unlike many other sites with a cartoonish look and give an unrealistic portrayal of the boot. Not Rivertrail! They are right on the money with pictures! This is a gorgeous boot and can be worn with just about anything, any color and be complimentary! And be prepared, you will get LOTS of compliments!
The size in the Erin boot, IN MY OPINION ONLY is just a tad bigger than my other OG's. However the 6 still fits perfect with a little thicker sock. That is how minimal I feel the sizing is.
The toes are super sharp, something different from most of my others. So that may take a little getting used to. Most of my others are, I guess called a snip toe, but overall, everything is consistant. Something I have not found in ANY other brand of boot. ranging from less expensive to FRYE, the sizes always range a bit.Old Gringo's are the most consistant. Not only in sizes, but in every way. This boot in particular, you can't go wrong with it. Dress it up, dress it down, wear with any color you want it's gonna be a hit! If you have any doubts, take a chance! You won't be sorry!
