Pretty but narrow

This is a very pretty boot and I was excited to get it. I own three other pairs of Old Gringo boots. Currently, I own the Old Gringo Ellie, Carissa (I had to stretch this pair), and Jaylene in an 8.5 I also have Lane Wind Walker Bootie in 8.5, two pairs of Corral in size 9, and Lariat in size 9. The Old Gringo Erin was a very pretty boot and I was excited to get it. When I first tried it on I thought it just needs to stretch. But, I compared the width of the sole to my other Old Gringo boots and the Erin was definitely more narrow across the ball of the foot. I considered stretching the boot but because of the stitching, I didn't think stretching would work. Sadly I chose to return the boot despite how pretty it was.

Awesome boot but HUGE

I normally wear a size 8, but in Old Gringo (Belinda tall and Molly short) , I always need to size up to an 8.5. NOT THIS TIME! These boots are huge. Won't even work for me with thick socks. They are wider, longer...everything. The style is awesome, so I am exchanging for the smaller size. Can't wait to get the replacement. For reference I have a really average foot. Not overly skinny or wide.

Wow these boots are gorgeous. Comfortable right out of the box. Can not wait to wear them for my desert wedding in Utah!

Fit True to Size - Picture Doesn’t Do It Justice

The first thing I want to highlight is that I am 6’2” and typically wear a size 10.5 shoe. If boots run small in size, 11 is a tight fit. I ordered a 10.5 and they fit perfect! Second thing, the design of this boot is really beautiful. It has nice lines and the embroidery is delicate but strong. I am typically not a huge fan of a snip toe style, mainly because I already have big enough feet, and I don’t really like the idea of my feet looking longer than they already are. This snip toe is actually not that long, and it is a good balance to the shoe. Side note: As a bride, planning a wedding during COVID and everything being shut down intermittently, not being able to try on things in stores, I’ve become fully reliant on good companies with good online return policies. I ordered the boot, received it within a week, and they left instructions on how to return within 30 days. I would definitely do business with river trail again, and I am very happy to finally find a boot that is fitting to wear on my wedding day.

Prettiest boot in my closet

A gorgeous boot-- the picture on the website doesn't do it justice. I wear 7.5 and that's what I ordered. It is a great fit with thin socks. If you wear thicker socks or insoles, you might need to to up a half size. Perfect fit out of the box, I wore them all day and they are comfortable too. If you are a bride to be, you NEED these boots for your big day. For everyone else, you won't regret this purchase.
