Beautiful Boots
Just got them and I couldn’t be happier. Fit perfect and love the longer narrow shaft as it’s the right height to wear with dresses. Extremely comfortable right out of box .
Love these boots!
I have been looking at these boots for a year now and I finally took the plunge. They are gorgeous online and even prettier in person. I wear a 7.5 in tennis shoes, 8 in sandals. The 7.5 fits perfectly with decently thick socks. They have a thin shaft which fits close to my skinny calfs without a gap. My order was processed on Friday and I received them the following Wednesday…which was a nice surprise with our national shipping and processing delays.
Small shaft
I LOVE these boots. They are beautiful. The leather is gorgeous, the smell divine. When I first got them, the shaft was VERY tight. I really thought I needed to return them. I followed the advice given by River Mercantile and stuffed the boots with kitchen towels. The next morning I could get the boots on completely without breaking a sweat. I continued to leave the towels in for a few more days and now the future is perfect. I am so thrilled that this worked!
Dark brown and POINTY
First, this boots are darkish brown, scuffed lighter spots on a chocolate leather. They are not a golden brown "brass".
Second, they are VERY pointy. I'm a size 9, and the pointy toe adds an extra 1-1.5 inches to the length of my foot making them look HUGE. So if you are worried about your feet looking bigger, these boots are not for you.
Last, they are a quality boot with beautiful leather lining (wish the lining was the outside!).
Casual but classy
I bought these to wear as a casual brown boot but when they got here they were "classier" than they looked in the pictures. The brown is a very rich color and I get a lot of compliments even if they are just barely peeking out from under my jeans. Thank God for the ankle zipper (it's needed) and I bought my usual size and they fit fine.
Favorite boots EVER!!
I purchased these boots for my first ever trip to the NFR in Vegas. I debated buying them because of the price, but I LOVE THEM so much!! I will now be saving to get them in black!!
Boots were extremely heavy and stiff.
I love Old Gringo boots, mainly because they are so easy to break in, however these didn't meet the standards that I normally expect from Old Gringo. They were extremely stiff, had to return them because I knew I would never break them in without extreme discomfort, and for the price shouldn't have to go to extreme measures to wear a boot. Additionally, they are very heavy.
High and tight!
I LOVE the height on the Mayra. This one is more comfortable than the Mayra Bug for me. It only took one day of wear until the calf was stretched enough to be super comfortable. At first it might be tight but they will form to fit you perfectly! These are a go to with shorts and dresses!
Love my new boots
Love my new boots...they look gorgeous and make my legs look long and slender. I'm 5'6" Getting them on required forceful effort but it was removing them that was a struggle because of the narrow ankle area. I found out after a few wrestling matches with my new boots, that if I let my husband pull them off, the task becomes effortless;)
I own another pair of OG's and they have the wonderful scent of authentic leather, the Mayra in brass however smell like they ve been doused in eucalyptus aroma therapy oil.
Overall I am happy with these boots and would recommend them. I wear size 8 in OG's and I stayed with the 8 in Maura's becacase they do stretch, btw, they are very comfortable.

OLD GRINGO'S ARE AMAZING BOOTS!!!
I just love theses new boots--they are higher than all of the other Old Gringo boots I own. I have the Leopardita and just love the pointy toe--but this boot looks amazing with dresses and skinny jeans, shorts, leggings, skirts you name it--the 18" hight is ideal has a perfect heel and the pointy toe I love!!! I'm a size 7 and these are very true to size. Have worn them a couple times already and everyone wants to know the name and the brand!!! Love the side zip makes them so easy to get into and can wear them all day in comfort!!!
I just love these boots.
These boots are simply fabulous. Different to most cowboy boots, they have a narrow ankle with zip feature. The slim fit look gives a beautiful elongated look to anyone's leg. They are a tall boot and can be worn with almost any type of outfit, not just jeans. I just hope Old Gringo will continue with this theme in new designs...if so, I am a committed Old Gringo cowboy boot fan for life! I found Clint at Rivertrail Mercantile most helpful with advice on the fit. I had to go up a size because I wear orthotic inserts and I like to wear thick wool socks when wearing boots. .

Boot Shaft Too Narrow For My Foot
I was so excited to find these boots and I ordered them immediately. Once I received them and I couldn't wait to try them on. I was so disappointed when I realized my foot would not even go down the boot shaft. As you can see from the picture of the boots, there is even a zipper near the ankle to help get the boots on, but my foot would't even make it to the zipper area. I am 5'8" and weigh 140 lbs. and I have never had problems getting boots to fit, but these just would not fit, as much as I tried and tried. So sad that I must return them. They look gorgeous and I really wish they would have worked for me.
ii've wanted these boots forever!
I've wanted these boots forever & own a lot. I've never spent this much on a pair. I've been saving & read reviews & decided to bite bullet. I absolutely love them! I usually wear size 9 in really pointed toe boots yet reviews said they stretch so got size 8&1/2. They are a little snug yet are stretching some. I have small calves & have hard time finding boots to fit them & they fit perfect! Over skinny jeans & look great w/ dresses etc. they are pretty comfortable yet at work on feet all day so hope they stretch a little more so can put gellins in soles. I'm not sorry I bought them!

good looking boot
I just ordered these boots without trying them on. The run just a little big. I would order them a half size smaller. I had to send mine in for a half size down. But all in all definitely worth the investment.
Head turning boots
The Mayra is the boot to have. If you do not own any cowboy boots, this is the pair you want and if you have many, this is the pair you will wear. They do not require breaking in. The right side is a little hard to get on and off but well worth the effort. I can slip into the left one easily. They were shipped to me quickly. Make the investment. You will not regret it.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE OLD GRINGO MAYRA
I have been wanting these boots since I first saw them almost a year and a half ago. I fell in love with them the minute I saw them except they were $600 and I just could not see myself spending that much. After saving up I found these boots on different websites and most of them were sold out in my size. RiverTrail Mercentile had them and had an offer to get them 10% off. I purchased these boots in the brass color in my usual size 6. They were very fast shipping through USPS and I tried them on as soon as I received them. They were a little hard to get on just because the shaft of them are so high but they will stretch each time you wear them. If it was not from being a boot I probably could have worn a 5.5 because I have some extra room where my toes are, but because of the shaft I did not want to chance it and send them back. I have worn them for 2 whole days since I have purchased them and 1 of those days I did an extreme amount of walking. These boots are so comfortable and light weight. They did not rub a blister at all and almost feel already broke in. I have had tons of compliments on my boots and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!!!!!!! IF YOU LIKE THESE BOOTS AND ARE DEBATING ABOUT GETTING THEM I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU TO BUY THEM. I'M SO IN LOVE!!!!!!!!!

Gorgeous Boots!
These are my first Old Gringo purchase and I must say I am hooked! The fit me so incredibly well from the moment I tried them on. So comfortable and extremely detailed! These have quickly become my favorite in my boot collection. Customer service was wonderful and shipping time was fast! I would recommend to all boot lovers!

Perfect! Everything I expected <3
I am extremely satisfied with my boots =) They are perfect in every way! The leather is so soft and beautiful. The shiny stitching is just enough to really give it that wow factor. They are original... I feel like a cowgirl princess. They arrived on time and customer service was great. The wonderful leather smell.... They run a half size big if you are not wearing super thick socks.

I recently purchased purchased these and they have very quickly become my absolute favorites! They hug my skinny calves perfectly and they fit right below my knee (I am about 5'6)... I love wearing them with dark skinny jeans... EVERYONE comments on these and wants to know where I got them... LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
