Rockstar Boots!
Every previous comment is right on. The boots are outstanding . My wife was complimented on them by a well known local bluesman that he felt like he should be opening for her since she looked like such a rockstar in them. Details; they are not pitch black, they come in a charcoal grey. Leather honey made them blacker. They are tight at the ankles which is very attractive but my slender legged wife had to go up 1/2 size larger than her other Old Gringo's, including an older pair of Belindas, to be comfortable. Rivertrail Mercantile delivered them in two days.

My husband got these for me for Christmas, and like everyone says - BUY THESE BOOTS! They are sexy, comfortable, and you will feel like a rock star wearing these. I don't have problems getting them on, but husband has to help me get them off sometimes. They are beautiful quality!

distressed. Yes they are gorgeous, sexy and so different than any boot I own but I absolutely Love them. Beautiful soft leather and so well made. Why wait? You need to order these boots for yourself.

Old Gringo Belinda Black
Like everyone says - just BUY THE BOOTS. Splurge!! You won't regret this purchase! This is one pair worth every penny. Geez I contemplated SO long and I'm just glad I got a pair before they are no longer available. I normally wear 8-1/2 to 9 and found the 9 gave me that little bit of extra room I like. They were comfy right out of the box. Also, they are more of a dark gray color but they are so gorgeous it didn't matter. I like the worn look of the dark gray with both brass and silver studs. Such a gorgeous combo. EVERYONE comments on these boots to me. And like one reviewer said, you can always make them darker with the Leather Honey conditioner. And I will say this - the customer service at Rivertrail is awesome. Don't be afraid to buy from them.

Seriously, just buy them already! These boots are everything and more...the look, feel, style, smell;). Just pull the trigger and you will see how many compliments you get!
One note: I'm 5' and 105 lbs. I have an athletic build and the shaft was snug. I bought a size 6 so maybe the calf runs a tiny bit smaller in the smaller sizes. Nothing a little stretching won't fix. I'm afraid I'd be swimming in the wide calf version and that would take away from the look of the boot.
How long are you going to look?
If you're at the point of reading the reviews of these boots (maybe the second or third time?), you already know they're gorgeous and you want them. . .so maybe the price tag is giving you pause (it did for me as I don't usually splurge on myself to this degree) or it's the reviews that talk about the "tight" fit in the ankle and calf areas. I checked these boots out for a couple of months-- both on this site and others. I realized early on there were a lot of color variations out there. So that's the first thing to confirm --the ones I got are Belinda-Black (as opposed to the black/beige finish). They arrived a "faded/ distressed" black--more a dark gray. I "fixed" that with Leather Honey conditioner, and would highly recommend it as it provides moisturize and waterproofs your investment. These boots are "an investment", at least for me. I own several pairs of boots-- Lucchese mostly in various skins-- but these are the "priciest" to date. Are they worth it? That's a personal decision, but I'd answer "yes" if asked! The workmanship is beautiful! These boots have already become my favorites! They are a tall boot (unlike my others which hit mid calf), hit right below the knee. and they're "fitted" but not tight. If asked, I'd say I have "athletic" calves-- and I had no problem getting these on. So, if you're considering the wide calf version because other reviewers have made you nervous (too), you may want to just go with the regular fit if your legs are proportional. I was a bit nervous about the "true to size" fit reviews-- I teeter between a 9.5 and 10. After reading the info posted on the Old Gringo site, I went with the 10s. I think the 9.5 probably would have been fine too, maybe a little snug to start, but the 10s were fine for me and allowed for all day comfortable wear right out of the box. I was wearing them yesterday with my favorite skinny jeans, a black turtleneck and a shiny-bauble necklace. My 30-something daughter suggested I lose the necklace, because it detracted from the impact of the boots! She summed it up pretty well when she said, "they're a bad-ass, sexy stand-alone item-- don't confuse or distract the eyes by wearing the necklace!" I don't think you'll be disappointed if you hit BUY NOW!!

Love them! but...
These boots are amazing!! But its all but impossible to get your foot into them without first stretching them out. I followed the advice of the customer service rep whom recommended that I stuff them with tea towels for a couple of days then put them on. That worked!! I now keep them stored with the towels in them to ensure that when I put them on they actually go on..

This is my second pair of Old Gringo boots. I thought based on the cost of the first pair they would be my only pair but I love the, so much I just had to purchase another. The fit, quality, look and feel of these boots is amazing! I will keep these boots forever no doubt. I normally wear a 10 1/2 and these boots are true to size. They fit nicely in the calf, my calf is average size. I get nothing but compliments for my Old Gringo boots!

Boots fit true to size and make me feel sexy, gorgeous, and amazing! I'm 5'4" tall and the boots hit me just below my knee - the perfect height. They are definitely black, distressed black, but definitely black. They are even more gorgeous than they look in the photos! So glad that I splurged.
As for Rivertrail - I had some questions before I placed my order. It's a little nerve-wracking purchasing expensive boots sight unseen. I called and spoke with Lauren. She was super helpful. She even pulled a pair of boots from the shelf to look at while we spoke to be sure that she was giving me accurate information. The boots shipped out the same day I placed my order and arrived two days later (just like my previous order from Rivertrail). Awesome service!

These drop dead gorgeous Gringos are all sex and sass wrapped up in leather and studs! I'm on a power prowl when I slip my legs into these rockin' stunners. They are sensuously snug on the ankle and calf and as tall as the day is long. These boots give you legs 'til Tuesday! The leather is sumptuous and supple and makes my closet smell amazing! I waited 4 months for these babies because they were on back order for the holidays. They were SO worth the wait---wearable art of impeccable quality and workmanship.
As with all Gringos, they are comfortable right out of the box with no break in time. They run a half size small.
This is my fifth boot purchase sight unseen from Rivertrail. I absolutely love this family owned business and plan on making a pilgrimage to North Carolina to shop there and meet the staff in person at some point in the future. Everyone I have worked with over the phone at Rivertrail is beyond helpful. Ordered Lovely Belinda's in a 9, all of my OG's are 9's, they were a little too tight in toe box and calf (I have normal calves, not too small and not too big). As per usual at Rivertrail, they arrived in 2 days -- I thought they looked brown, contacted Lauren and she quickly sent black in a 9.5. It was my mistake they were black, they are not dark black -- more distressed charcoal too me. The 9.5 is better in toe box, but I will still have to stretch the calves. Fun boot for fall and winter! Thanks Lauren -- you rock, just like these boots!

They only reason why I did not give these 5 stars is because I had to spend an extra 40 dollars to stretch at the ankle for ease of getting my foot in and out. After the stretch they are perfect!
I LOVE my OLD GRINGO Black Belinda boots!
I am a true size 6 in Old Gringo boots. I have the brown Belinda boots with the Sintino toe and heel and receive many compliments every time I wear them. I missed out a long time ago getting the black Belinda boots with the same Sintino toe and heel so when I saw that Rivertrail was getting them, I had to order! They are a head turner and are also comfortable boots to wear! The boots arrived much sooner than the expected ship date of Nov 15, and everyone at Rivertrail is so nice! The instant savings coupon always helps. I definitely will be ordering again!
