The Old Gringo Bonnie Chocolate Cowgirl Boots are beautifully handcrafted with dark chocolate and brass brown leather. These cowgirl boots are totally distressed, giving them a rustic appeal. Floral embroidered designs cover the majority of the boots. There is something completely seductive and statement making about the Old Gringo Bonnie Chocolate Boots. The tone on tone style makes them understated and versatile, but they are still so classy. Old Gringo goes above and beyond with every design, and the Bonnie Chocolate Boots are no exception.

Bow low, she is the Queen...
Sometimes I want to knock the OG craftsmen's heads together for some of the things they do to boots. The concept of the Bonnie Chocolate is brilliant: two shades of chocolate, closely matched in tone for the ultimate in subtlety and sophistication, graced with matte black floral stitchery. But if you distress the heck out of the leather and the leather has no shine, the beautiful stitchery is completely lost and the entire boot becomes a murky puzzlement. My pair of boots arrived so scuffed and damaged -- worse than the photos here -- that I honestly wasn't sure my pots of Kiwi polish could save them. Fortunately, this boot responds beautifully when given the respect due. Brown polish brought much-needed brassy gold and red highlights to the lighter brown sections, which in my boots were a dull, painted grayish brown. Black polish lent shine and a deeper note of intrigue to the midnight chocolate parts. At last the matte black stitchery was able to stand forth, still cloaked in mystery and allure, but with outlines and textures defined, thanks to light being reflected up through and around it. The total package radiates quiet beauty and serene confidence. It looks like a VERY expensive boot now. The Bonnie Chocolate is my absolute favorite of all the boots that I own. It took 7 painstaking hours to restore her to her regal, elegant self and it is a joy to see her shine.
