About Old Gringo Boots

Old Gringo pushes the envelope with artisan handcrafted cowboy boots that both captures the traditional “Old School” quintessential vintage charm and detail while offering contemporary cutting edge styles not surpassed by ordinary boot makers. The Old Gringo collection continues to increase with a plethora of new styles.

While Old Gringo’s Strong customer base consists of women and men who represent both the fashion loving and the professional, it's style approach attracts inclinations ranging from Traditional Western, Vintage, Contemporary fashion, Rock Star, Equestrian, and European Vogue in interpretations irresistible to each genre.

The Old Gringo signature is style accompanied by comfort and value within the foundation of superior handmade footwear. Old Gringo designs bridge the divide between western style and pure fashion.

Old Gringo was founded in 2000 by Yan Ferry and Ernie Tarut. They decided to combine Yan’s bootmaking and design skills with Ernie’s 30 years of experience in leather manufacturing to create boots of superior style and quality.

Old Gringo opened its first factory in the fall of 2000, and the first collection of original, vintage and retro styles was available within six months. The boots were well received in the market by traditional western outlets, as well as fashion boutiques, catalogs and shoe stores.

In an effort to describe specific brands to online visitors, RiverTrail borrowed the above exerpt from Old Gringo, a company of which RiverTrail is a certified retailer. RiverTrail staff cannot be credited for the above exerpt.
