I have always wanted a pair of Texas flag cowgirl boots! I am so happy to have found these. They are perfect in every way. The colors are beautiful, they fit true to size, and the leather is soft. I love them.

Spirit of Texas Boots
Kept my eye on these boots for years and finally bought them during a RTM Memorial Day sale a few years ago. I can always count on Old Gringo for making impeccably stylish, comfortable, long-lasting boots. I typically wear a size 8-8.5 in western boots and ordered an 8 in these boots. On me, I found the boots to be a tad big around my calves and could have sized down to a 7.5. However, I'm totally fine with the little extra wiggle room as I can easily tuck in jeans or leggings with no issue. These boots are an absolute must have if you're a native Texan or a Texan at heart. Being a native Texan, I had to have these boots and proudly wear them everywhere I go. One of my favorite outfits with these boots is pairing them with my white Stetson cowboy hat with jeans, turquoise jewelry, and my Texas flag western shirt by Roper. I love my TX boots!!
I wear my regular street shoe size in OG boots, which is a half size smaller than my athletic shoes and other (like hiking or snow boots). Due to my high instep, it's a little hard to get these on, but once on, they fit my feet perfectly. Initially I had to do the plastic bag "sock" that RTM recommends -- they put this helpful note about fit in the box with the packing slip.
March 2 is Texas Independence Day, so I'll for sure wear them then, as well as any other time I want to show my love for my native state.

Too bad they don't make them in the relaxed fit. They would have fit better...still they are great boots.

Spirit of Texas Doesn't Dissapoint
Received my new Spirit of Texas Old Gringo boots and LOVE them. They fit perfectly and since I am a Texas girl can't wait to wear these to so many outings. Will have to wear them for Memorial Day. Rivertrail once again came though with great service. My only complaint is that they ship USPS and not UPS. My mail gets "lost" a lot and I have to wait for the mailman to sign for the boots. They were scheduled to arrive on 5/15 but didn't come until 5/16 so I had to sit around for 2 days since you can't actually track USPS. Other than that, love Rivertrail.

Yee-Haw--Love these boots
Perfect color--distressed and not brght. At first hard time pulling over calf but they wore in well after a few wears. IF inbetween sizes, go down a bit. I'm almost always a 8.5 in every shoe and very rarely go up a size for boots but not for these. I coulda worn 8 but the 8.5 itsn't goo big. The heel sips slightly like a good fit for a cowboy boot should. I n an case, I love them. Wore them with a denim skirt, white t-shirt and blue bandanna scarf and I felt I was doing right by my home state! I waited over a year for these to go on sale so when Rivertrail had a discount I jumped on the chance to get these at a little discount. Well worth the wait but also worth full price if you must pay that. I'll keep them forever. Also, shipped next day and priority so I got them like in two days. THANKS!! I hardly ever write reviews but these are super special.
Looks good, smells good
I live in Fort Worth Texas, where boots are the required footwear, and I get a ton of compliments. I haven't seen another pair either. Mine were a little darker than the picture-- mostly noticed it in the white. Fit was true.

Perfect Texas boots
I am in love with these Old Gringo boots. They are my second pair, and the fit is perfect. A friend had some, and I immediately got online to see if my size was available. The distressed leather feels so good and there is no need to "break them in". These boots look great with jeans, leggings, or dresses, and I can't wait to wear them to the rodeo!

This is my 4th (and since then have received my 5th) pair of Old Gringo boots. Love the colors of this boot, and am wearing it to Country Stampede in Kansas in June. I wear a 7-1/2 in shoes but can wear a 7 in Old Gringo. I have rather narrow feet and this would be hard to get on if I didn't.....had to work at it as there are no zippers! Love the beautiful workmanship and quality of these boots......also, my significant other thought they were awesome and very patriotic!

These boots are so comfortable. They fit true to size and the colors are amazing. I own more then my fair share of old gringo boots but I gotta say, these will my favorite pair. This Texan is sold, you will be too!

Love the boots, but hate the restocking fee hanging over my head if I do not love them!
I Love these boots - they are gorgeous. However, they seem to be a bit more rust and a bit less "red" in person. I didn't realize until after I had gotten them that a return would involve a significant "restocking" fee. This makes me steer away from this vendor unless I cannot find a specific boot elsewhere. When you pay this kind of money for boots, you want to make sure that you can return them without losing $50 in the process. I would encourage Rivertrail Mercantile to consider getting rid of that, and they might find more Amazon and Zappo's customers ordering from here!
Awesome boots for this Texan!
My first pair of cowboy boots. I have been looking for years for the right ones and when I saw these, I knew instantly I had to have them. A native Texan? Oh yeah! I love them!! I got so many compliments on them. Glad I waited for these. Old Gringos are great boots! The picture does not do them justice, they are even more gorgeous in person.
